Mason Kimber is anchored by the inbetweenness of architecture and memory. He uses painting, sculpture, fresco and wall-based installation to explore places that serve as timestamps, surfaces that form sentiment, and colours that trigger.

Kimber's interest in fresco began during a 2014 residency at the British School at Rome, where he studied the spatial illusions found in Roman and Pompeian fresco painting. Kimber holds a Master of Fine Art (Painting) from the National Art School in Sydney.
