Kirill Savchenkov travaille avec divers médias, notamment la sculpture médiatisée, l'installation, la performance et le son. Sa pratique artistique se concentre sur la distance dynamique entre la perception et la reconnaissance au sens politique, social et technologique. Dans ses recherches, Savchenkov met en évidence les questions d'action, d'histoire politique et les effets produits par l'autocratie informationnelle. L'artiste travaille avec un éventail d'essais environnementaux et sculpturaux qui tissent ensemble des objets métamorphosés issus des domaines physique, médiatique, sonore et culturel.

Il a été nommé pour représenter la Russie au pavillon national de la 59e Biennale de Venise en 2022, mais s'est retiré du projet en signe de protestation contre l'invasion à grande échelle de l'Ukraine par la Russie.
